Product development: A series of assessment programs were prepared for a national testing firm serving industrial, military, and government entities. The multi-tiered program provided assessment of engineering skill and aptitude in the areas of electrical power, electronics, communications, and automated systems. The topics tested several skill levels from entry level engineer to senior project manager.
A "triage" approach was used for initial testing to determine the most suitable avenue for each individual's further evaluation. Subsequent testing was available to further gauge suitability for engineering positions requiring both technical and management skills. The multiple-choice tests were designed for operation via interactive computer. The processing provided a continuously varying format to discourage answer sharing, and also to allow individual test variations based on the ongoing performance of each participant.
