Patent infringement: Improvement to the design and application of programmable logic controllers (PLC) to incorporate an onboard file storage function. The invention provided functions to use file system services from within the control program of an operating industrial controller. A particular aspect of novelty was the use of ladder logic program instructions to access the on-board files services of the programmable controller.
