Patent Infringement: A series of patents for linear motor modules and related control systems used in manufacturing and packaging applications. The technology involved independently movable and traceable linear motor modules having precise control of speed, position, direction, and applied force. The control was via dedicated electronic systems as well as programmable controller (PLC) logic connected via Ethernet, direct connection, and industrial networks.
The motor modules use permanent magnets that cause motion via interaction with multiple independently energized coils in and around a flexible track design. The path can be linear, oval, circular, and other open or closed architectures including those that change shape during operation.
