Patent Infringement: Automated load sensing for programming, control, and alarming of motarized barriers such as garage doors and driveway gates. The inventions sensed and analyzed loads on the barrier, drive train, and related components to achieve safe automated operation. The dispute involved the electrical, electronic, and mechanical aspects of the complete system including the motor, microprocessor control, and remote signal generator in the accused products as well as the prior art in regard to patent infringement and validity.
