Patent infringement: liquid fuel dispenser vapor recovery system (VRS) using a variable speed vacuum pump. The vapor pump speed (and resulting vapor rate) was electrically controlled to match the liquid delivery rate. The issues involved infringement by a VRS that did not electrically modulate the vapor flow in response to changes in liquid flow. The infringed device instead used a constant speed vapor pump with a fixed, mechanically adjusted vacuum pressure.
